The main caravan park is run as
a private site with most of the 282 caravans and chalets being privately owned
and the emphasis very much being aimed as a quiet family orientated site. We do
not have a Club house but we are lucky that there are numerous good quality
public houses and restaurants within easy walking distance as are all the other
facilities of the village.
From time to time pitches
for new caravans do become available and if you are interested we ask you to
write in to register your requirements. We have a policy of being able to keep
caravans on the site for 14 years and we do allow reasonable size of decking
where space permits.
We are very fortunate that due
to the topography of the site all our pitches have a good view of the sea, with
most pitches also over looking the bay and the Snowdonia Mountain range as a
backdrop. Each pitch has been graded into one of four grades depending on many
aspects, and accordingly there are four different levels of rent.
Within the main part of the
site we also have an area for 30 touring caravans.
Sports
and Leisure
There are horse riding facilities
nearby and beach ponies work regularly in the peak season depending on the tide
and weather.Immediately adjacent to the site are tennis courts and a bowling
green, and there is a golf course within two miles of the caravan
park.
A particular Feature to the
site is that whilst having the benefits of the village on the one side it has an
attractive cliff path for walkers between the site and the sea that stretches
for miles. It is the intention of the local council to extend this walk around the island.
Golden Sunset
Camping and Touring Park
We have an area for 30
seasonal touring caravans within the main site and take occasional touring
caravans on our camping field.
We have extensive camping fields which
cater for any size of tent and also we have a license for a further
seventy touring caravans on this part of the site. These fields are split into
large and small enclosures giving a good degree of privacy and shelter and we
have a designated family field. Most of the enclosures benefit from stunning
coastal views and are serviced with electric hook-ups (limited number), toilet
blocks, shower blocks and water taps.

We do not accept bookings on
the camping fields but they are so extensive that the only occasions we have
been full are at August Bank Holiday most seasons.
We also specialise in
catering for larger pre-booked camps in separate fields with their own
facilities.
Benllech
Benllech is situated
on the “green side” of the island and is consequently more sheltered. It is
renowned for its miles of clean golden sands, safe bathing, boating and
fishing.
Golden Sunset Caravan
Park is superbly situated overlooking the bay with clear views towards the Great
Orme, Puffin Island and the magnificent Snowdonia mountain
range.
The village of
Benllech has a good range of facilities all within walking distance of the
caravan site.
As the focus of the
site is orientated towards families, we do not have a clubhouse but several good
cafes, licensed restaurants, Chinese and Indian takeaways and public houses are
all within walking distance. There is 1 public telephone opposite the entrance
to the site and a bus stop nearby.
There are churches and
chapels of most denominations in the district.
